Back in 2010 when I graduated, there was no such thing as an 'Art Director' in Liverpool.
So, for my first job out of Uni, I created concepts...
…then figured out how the heck to design them.
With hands on experience, and an eye for design...
...I trotted off to London.
Nowadays I spend my time focusing on the idea.
At the moment I’m working alone, which suits me...
...most of the time.
I wouldn't say I had a specific discipline,
because I like the freedom to think outside the box.
I like to challenge the norm.
I like to take creative risks.
And I like to bring something new tothe table.
I believe the even crap briefs have the potential to be, less crap.
I love working collaboratively. With designers,
photographers, directors and illustrators...
...to create beautiful work.
Just don't ever ask me to artwork again.
I strongly believe that we have a responsibility to think about what we put into the world,
'cos there are a lot of dicks out there at the moment.
I want my work to make people happy.
So I create work for charities, on the side...
...and published a colouring book full of ugly words for the vagina.
The way I see the world may be a little different,
which makes my ideas, a little different too.
But I reckon that's a good thing.
So, whether I'm deep in thought...
...or accidently saying exactly what I think,
it's because I adore what I do for a living. True story.
